Close Up on Eyes

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a psychotherapy approach that was developed by Francine Shapiro in the late 1980s. It was primarily used to treat individuals who have experienced trauma, such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), but has also been found to be effective in addressing other mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and phobias.

This innovative, most modern and effective method of identifying and treating mental trauma, is a synthetic form of psychotherapy that effectively blends many beneficial components from a variety of psychotherapeutic approaches including those of Cognitive Behavioral, Person-centered, Psychodynamic, Physical and Hypnosis therapy.
